ABSTRACT
The study examined the influence of age on mathematics anxiety of Junior Secondary School Students in Enugu State. One research question and one research hypothesis guided the study. The research design was survey design. A total of six hundred and ninety-two (692) Junior Secondary Two (JSS2) students formed the sample for the study. Mathematics Anxiety Questionnaire (MAAQ) developed by the researchers was used for data collection. Analysis of variance statistical technique was employed for data analysis. The result revealed that age has influence on the mathematics anxiety of junior secondary school students. Based on the result, the study recommends among others, that age appropriate mathematics scheme should be adopted or built into curriculum for easier assimilation.
