  1.  The Greek philosopher Aristotle once said “human beings naturally desire to know”. The right to education is universally enshrined in various human rights documents. All states have the duty to educate their citizens. Education is therefore not a privilege, but a fundamental human right. Education is an effective and successful platform for personal development and human transformation. Francis Bacon informs us that “Reading maketh a full man; conference a ready man; and writing an exact man”.
  2.  For Francis Bacon “knowledge is power”. Theodore Brameld observes that education is “the one power left in the world that is greater than the forces of nature that man has now enslaved.
