ABSTRACT

History and clinical experience shows that there are no effective psychological or psychotherapeutic solutions to existential anxiety. Existential problems are inherent in the inner nature of human beings. The most authentic timehonoured therapy for existential anxiety is a personal religious conviction and beliefs. Across the world, religion has played a therapeutic function in solving existential and neurotic anxiety. This study is an advocacy for integration of religion/spirituality into mental healthcare and psychotherapy.
