COLONIALISM AND RURAL LABOUR MIGRATION AMONG  BEKWARRA, 1940-1960 Dr. Joseph Ajor

ABSTRACT

Although Bekwarra society is a major pool of rural labour migration, no work has been done in this aspect of her history. This study looks at the colonial factors for this genre of labour movement. The economic and political activities of the British colonial administration, by reorganizing major traditional institutions and economy of the area, sparked off rural labour migration among the people of Bekwarra.
